TERI LEE STORY
It’s 7am on a Sunday as I lie here listening to the sounds of Puerto Vallarta outside my window. Another sunny glorious day-seems like its the only kind of day God makes down here.
We are about 1/3 of way done down here and so much continues to happen. The discipleship group we just started with a new church is becoming transparent, real. Masks are dropping and people are growing. A leader from another church was sent to it last week to see what is happening as they have heard great reports. So that makes 5 churches that are now learning how to share what they believe so that others in turn will grow and be able to lead someone else to truly know who God is. Great stuff!
Today is a big day for Frank and Rebecca (Teri’s sister) as they announce they are stepping out to begin a new work. They will be leaving behind most of the people they led to Christ in the last three years and starting all over in their neighborhood. Their goal is to start another church founded on Christ’s model of living life together, being genuine, truly loving others, helping others grow and learn to lead, reaching their neighborhood with all involved in the process. Sounds like the first church in Acts! Sounds good!!!
Will be a hard time for them in months ahead as it is so much work and they will be missing all those they have poured into. Please pray for peace, joy, and discernment for them and for us as we walk alongside them in this process!
I’m off to awaken the troops. We try to start Sundays with a podcast sermon from home to get us going. Then kids off to help lead worship at mom and dads church while we go support F&R on a tough Sunday.
Hugs to all back home. Believe it or not we are a little jealous of your snow! Just for a day or two….
Please keep praying! We feel the battle intensely but we know Who wins!!
